The Learning Hub - Privacy Notice - Toyota Financial Services (UK) PLC

(referred to as ‘TFS’)

 The Learning Hub is TFS’s internal Regional Learner Management system for employees of Toyota’s group of financial services companies and businesses within Europe and Africa. It provides a library of self-directed learning resources and relevant information across Personal Development, Management Development and Toyota Way of Working (TWOW!) to support the development of employees.

This privacy notice explains why and how TFS will use, share and process your personal data for the provision and use of The Learning Hub. TFS may update this notice at any time.

Your use will be subject to:

1.      This TFS Privacy Notice

2.     Your employer company’s relevant policies its Employee Privacy Policy

3.     Any applicable usage and licence terms.

Personal data is any information about a person that identifies that person or enables that person to be identified. Because TFS will determine the purposes, means of use and processing of its employees and contractors’ personal data for The Learning Hub, TFS is a data controller. 

How we will use information about you The Learning Hub is provided to support the operation, management and planning of Toyota’s financial services business in Europe and Africa. TFS will use your personal data so that it can provide, serve, use, maintain and administer The Hub.

Legitimate Interest TFS or relevant third parties will use your personal data to pursue legitimate interests for this purpose, provided your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.

Your Consent by actively accessing, posting on forums and downloading resources on The Learning Hub you will give TFS your consent to use any of your personal data that you may provide. You can later withdraw your consent, but any withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of any uses or processing carried out before your withdrawal. 

Sharing your personal data TFS may share your personal data with third parties where it is necessary to facilitate the provision, serving, hosting, use and administration of The Learning Hub.

Such third parties include Toyota EAR IT located in Germany, other relevant Toyota group companies and the Developer of The Learning Hub; Synergy Learning in Ireland.

Retention TFS will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to facilitate your use of The Learning Hub whilst you are an employee of Toyota and for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, accounting or reporting requirements.
